Finnish postal service Posti has suspended letter and parcel traffic to Russia and Belarus, in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
The suspension came into action on April 11, 2022, and will continue until further notice, based on the exceptional circumstances as per the agreements of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). As a result, letter and parcel traffic between Finland and Russia as well as between Finland and Belarus cannot be delivered and will be returned to the senders.
This follows Posti’s decision to temporarily suspend international express item services for companies and consumers – express letters and goods (Express Mail Service [EMS] items) – to Russia and Belarus – which was made on March 15, 2022.
