Autonomous mobile robot (AMRs) provider Locus Robotics has expanded its line of warehouse AMRs with the Locus Vector and Locus Max.
Locus Vector is a compact AMR that features omnidirectional mobility and robust payload capacity. The Locus Max AMR has a heavyweight payload capacity and increased flexibility for industrial and material handling applications. The LocusBots can be added to existing and new workflows, enabling operations to scale and adapt to changing market demands.
The new line has been designed to support the full range of product movement needs in fulfillment and distribution warehouses – from case-picking and pallet-picking to scenarios requiring larger, heavier payloads. The offerings are also intended to meet increasing order volumes, labor shortages and rising consumer expectations in e-commerce and fulfillment through the automation and digitalization of warehouses and distribution centers.
The LocusBots are integrated within LocusOne, the intelligent, multi-bot warehouse orchestration platform that has been created to deliver predictable and efficient scalable productivity as well as cost optimization for all product movement within the warehouse. The platform centralizes and coordinates a multi-bot fleet while also providing detailed and actionable business intelligence.
