Whistl has appointed Nick Wells as executive chairman of the Whistl Group and Alistair Cochrane as CEO.
Whistl’s restructure of its senior leadership team has been designed to support the company’s growth in recent years and its diversification into e-commerce fulfillment. In his new role, Wells will focus on the strategic direction and growth of the overall business. He will be supported by Nigel Polglass and Manoj Parmar who will be continuing their respective roles as chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Before taking on his new role, Cochrane served Whistl as the chief development officer. He joined Whistl in 2018 from Parcelforce Worldwide, where he worked as an operations director for two years and was responsible for its business strategy, with specific accountability for the design and delivery of the operational strategy.
The UK logistics firm is on target to become a £1bn (US$1.3bn) turnover business through organic growth and an acquisition strategy that capitalizes on e-commerce services.
