Whistl has promoted Jon Stockton to managing director of fulfillment as well as granting him a place on the executive board. Stockton joined Whistl earlier this year as a part of a restructure of its fulfilment operations. Stockton will have responsibility for the fulfillment and contact center businesses. His previous role was with FedEx, where he held the post of vice president, ground operations UK. He was with the company 26 years, joining TNT Express at the start of his management career.
Whistl has expanded its fulfillment and contact center capacity over the past 12 months with new warehouses in Northampton and Lutterworth, and the expansion of existing facilities in Gateshead and Rushden. The company now has eight fulfillment warehouses across the UK, totalling over 140,000m2 of fulfillment space and a contact center seating capability of over 500. At the end of 2020 Whistl acquired Clientbase Fulfilment, a Devon-based company with has three sites in the region.
