UK carrier DX has announced the opening of three new depots as part of its growth plans.
The three sites are in Dewsbury, Grimsby and Luton, with the new Dewsbury depot serving DX’s Freight division and the Grimsby and Luton depots serving DX’s Express division, which offers secure, tracked and express delivery services for documents, pouches and parcels.
The Grimsby depot is more than double the size of its predecessor. The three depots cover a total of 7,000m2 .
DX has opened or upgraded nine depots this year, leading to increased network capacity, improved customer service and higher productivity. Further new openings are planned over the next two years.
Lloyd Dunn, chief executive officer at DX Group, said, “Investment in the group’s depot network has been a major focus this year, and these latest depot openings demonstrate the ambition we have for both DX Freight and DX Express. The new sites not only step up our capacity but also support higher customer service levels. We expect to open further sites as we continue with the group’s expansion plans.”
