JAS Worldwide, a global freight forwarding services provider headquartered in the USA, has signed a share purchase agreement with GeoPost, the international parcel division of French group La Poste, whereby it will acquire Tigers, a freight forwarding and supply chain management subsidiary of GeoPost.
Since its creation in Hong Kong in 2011, Tigers has developed a suite of tech-enabled integrated logistics services, from freight forwarding to omnichannel supply chain management, for corporate clients around the globe. It operates through 70 offices in 10 countries, including 32 omnichannel distribution hubs, and has 935 employees.
Marco Rebuffi, CEO of JAS, commented on the agreement: “Through the acquisition of Tigers, JAS is broadening its range of logistics services, adding omnichannel supply chain management capabilities, supported by advanced digital solutions, to help our customers ramp up their B2C e-commerce operations.
“JAS’s and Tigers’ teams share the same entrepreneurial spirit that has underpinned the success of both companies and will ensure the continuous development of the enlarged group,” he added.
