Estonian supermarket chain Selver is using Cleveron 501 robots to allow customers to pick-up groceries without human contact.
Postal and parcel operators will no doubt closely monitor the success of the Cleveron 501 click-and-collect service that offers curbside grocery pickup and can store cooled and frozen items. The first locker is located on the outskirts of the city of Tallinn.
Kristi Lomp, CEO of Selver, said, “We have streamlined our work processes to ensure that orders received in the morning are delivered on the same day. In case of a surge in demand, we guarantee that our online store will no longer have any queues.”
