A brand-new Social Media & Communications workshop has been announced for this year’s Parcel+Post Expo Conference! The workshop will be presented by Ian Kerr, founder and host of Postal Hub Podcast, and Derek Osborn, international postal and business coach at Whatnext4u.
“Social media is now at the core of communications and customer engagement strategies,” says Osborne. “Get it right and you strengthen your relationship with your customers. Get it wrong, and you could create a public relations disaster.
“This new workshop for communications professionals – and anyone involved in comms or social media – will enable businesses in the parcel and postal sector to share their knowledge and experience of using social media – what has worked and what have they learned – and of using other external communications such as corporate videos and marketing campaigns.”
The workshop will discuss best practice in the sector, and what social media platforms are best for your goals. Should you use social media to market your business or to communicate with customers or staff? What is the best way to do this? What works well, and what mistakes can you avoid? Join this collaborative workshop at Parcel+Post Expo to exchange ideas and share your experiences with others.
The workshop is open to all Parcel+Post Expo Conference attendees. If you wish to attend, register online here.
The Social Media & Communications workshop will be held on Thursday, October 3 at 9:15am in room 4.
The Social Media & Communications workshop is one of six being run at this year’s Parcel+Post Expo, joining: PUDOs & Lockers – the New Power in the Last Mile; Blockchain; Enhancing Customer Engagement Through Innovation (Escher Group); The Future of Parcel Processing (Siemens); and Digital Transformation in Post & Logistics (T-Systems). A full conference program can be found here.
