“Our success is due in no small measure to the total engagement of our team at all levels who understand and embrace the need to look at and improve our business. I congratulate and thank them all.”
Guernsey Electricity, which joined Guernsey Post in collecting the award, also played a pivotal role building on the success of their own commercial scale solar array installation.
Alan Bates, chief executive of Guernsey Electricity, said, “We are proud to be involved with this project and look forward to moving on to the next phase. As a company, we firmly believe that the generation of electricity from renewable sources is a positive development and enables the entire community to benefit from locally generated low carbon sustainable energy.
“We hope the success of this project will inspire more commercial scale, solar array installations in the future. Our collaboration with Guernsey Post on this project is a further sign of our commitment to renewable energy projects. All Islanders will benefit from the commercial scale solar installations which feed into the Islands distribution network.”
