PostNL’s CEO, Herna Verhagen, and SAP’s postal services industry director, Ruth Eberhart, have been confirmed among some of the first international keynote speakers for this year’s Parcel+Post Expo Conference, October 1, 2, 3, 2019, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Further speakers announced for the conference include Alain Roset, director, Le Groupe La Poste; Samanta Thaver, senior commercial manager, South African Post Office; Thomas Bayer, head of digital (postal/parcel) at Siemens; Bisi Adegbuyi, PMG/CEO, Nigerian Postal Service; and Faleh Al Naemi, chairman/MD, Qatar Post.
A dedicated parcel handling and tracking session will see Michael Strohäcker, founder and managing director, Pakadoo, reveal how to simplify the handling of business parcels, and Hagen Wustlich, CEO, Planet GmbH, will discuss the latest AI technology to read information on parcels. Bertrand Späth, co-founder and head of sales and business development, Kizy Tracking, will analyze the latest trends in worldwide real-time tracking.
There will also be a session exclusively focused on addressing. Hear from Kaveh Dolati, deputy director general of geographical and spatial information, National Post Company of Islamic Republic of Iran, who will discuss G-NAF data key to infrastructure development. Patrick Cannon, project management director, Addressing Homes/Aimlocate is on hand to give a lesson on the evolution of addressing. Santosh Gopal, CEO/founder, Ship2MyID will talk about how digital addressing systems will disrupt post offices; and Parikshith Reddy, co-founder, Zippr Pvt Ltd will continue the topic, discussing digital street addressing and door numbering.
A dedicated last-mile session includes Roel Gevaers, logistics innovation manager, BD myShopi; Michael Richmond, chief commercial officer, Doddle; and Benjamin Hempel, solutions consultant, Scandit.
There are also a number of workshops planned, covering topics such as social media and communications, a logistics workshop organized by Siemens, and an Escher Group workshop on customer engagement. Meanwhile the ‘Amazon, Alibaba and eBay: How e-commerce is changing the last mile’ will provide ample opportunity to explore and improve parcel delivery.
